Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn (born May 12, 1972) is an American actress. Her most famous role is that of Kim Wexler, an attorney in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), where she was a two-time recipient of the Satellite Award as Best Supporting Actress (Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She has also appeared on NBC's Whitney (2011-2013), ABC's I'm with Her (2003-2004) and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011-2014). Deborah Rhea Seehorn was conceived in Norfolk, Virginia on May 12 1972. Her mother was the executive secretary for the United States Navy, her father was an agent in Naval Investigative Service. The family was based in Washington, D.C., Arizona, Japan, and often moved around during her youth. From a young age she was influenced by her grandparents and grandfather to study drawing, painting and architecture. Although she was interested in the visual arts throughout her life, it was during this time that she discovered a passion for acting. In college, she was introduced to the world of contemporary theatre. In 1994, she graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art. Seehorn who was in college, wanted to go into the theater after being encouraged by her acting instructor. She attempted to make her mark by working at various other jobs within D.C. theater. She eventually got major roles in local theatre productions However, she still had to find odd jobs to earn a living and she was cast in several short instructional films. Then she started to get roles in more TV productions, usually in roles she considered as "very humorous, sarcastic, knowledgeable women", similar to her favorite actress Bea Arthur. These roles are usually ended after only one or two seasons. In May 2014, Seehorn was cast in the Breaking Bad spin-off prequel series Better Call Saul. Seehorn is Kim Wexler, who is a lawyer , and also the love of Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk).
