Brooke Christa Shields was born May 31, 1965. At the age of 12, she was a child model. She earned critical acclaim for her performance in the film of Louis Malle's Pretty Baby (1978). She continued modeling throughout her teens, and was featured in various dramas of the 1980s such as The Blue Lagoon (1980) and Franco Zeffirelli’s Endless Love (1981). In 1983, Shields quit her model profession to pursue a degree at Princeton University where she received an undergraduate degree in Romance Languages. In the 90s, Shields returned to acting and appeared in small parts in films. She was also a star in the NBC sitcoms Suddenly Susan (1996-192000), for which she won two Golden Globe nominations and Lipstick Jungle (2008)-2009. Shields returned to NBC in 2017, reprising her role as a key role in Law & Order: Special Victims Unified's 19th season. From 2014, Shields has voiced Beverly Goodman in the Adult Swim animated series Mr. Pickles and its spinoff Momma Named Me Sheriff. Brooke Christa Shields was a Manhattan, New York, born on May 31 of 1965. She is the daughter of Teri Shields, a actress and model, as well as Frank Shields, a businessman (1941-2003).
